2021 #1 Goal~ Curiosity!

My #1 goal is to intentionally become more curious about my “thoughts.” I am a firm believer in a gratitude mindset. Sometimes life makes this challenging, right? Our mind, body, and spirit connection impacts every single action we take, consciously and unconsciously. Much of my career has been focused on helping folks go through their thought process as we “plant seeds” together so they can navigate their way through various “stages of change.”

I’ve been fortunate to explore research examining “emotional thoughts.” One thing that stood out -they typically last for about 90 seconds (depending on our ability to be mindful). I’ve learned how to explore where they come from, what influences then, and how to navigate them for wellbeing. I’ve learned how our physical and emotional wellbeing is impacted, specifically our sympathetic and parasympathetic automatic nervous systems that are always aware of thoughts every second of the day.

So in 2021, I’m going to commit to intentionally practicing mindfulness. This practice will help me become more honest about what I’m thinking, and then feeling, while exploring more of me. It’s going to be an emotional ride but an insightful exploration for sure.
